Alan has successfully managed extensive domestic violence cases, including securing orders of protection and no-contact or stalking orders to safeguard victims. As a prosecutor with the Gang Task Force, he also provided legal education to the Lake County Gang Enforcement Unit on effective gang prosecutions. Alan has extensive experience and success representing clients in hundreds of traffic and DUI cases, advocating for fair outcomes while providing aggressive defense. Alan has volunteered giving free legal advice at A Safe Place Women’s and Children’s center in Zion, and various library programs around the county. A longtime Lake County resident, he was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Exchange Club of Grayslake and is the former co-president of the Lake County Bar Association’s Young and New Lawyer’s Committee, where he provided education and training to other attorneys in criminal law.  He is an active volunteer at Libertyville High School where he has acted as a mentor to students and assisted with the Parent Cats organization to raise money for scholarships, grants and school improvement.  Alan has also been active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts with his three sons. He is a proud parish member at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libertyville. Alan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago.
